Demolition Application Received for 1889 Home

PORTLAND, Ore. – A house previously profiled by the Portland Chronicle is under a 35-day demolition delay period after the city received a demolition application.

The house is located at 8606 SE 16th Ave.

The applicant for demolition was Affordable New Homes LLC, which lists Randall Palazzo as its registered agent and member. Affordable New Homes LLC recently applied for demolition of a house at 4524 N Michigan Ave.

Palazzo filed for bankruptcy in 2010, reported the Oregonian. His company at the time, Palazzo Custom Homes, has since let its business registration expire.

The owner of the Sellwood property is Metro Homes Northwest LLC. This company lists Heidi Root as its registered agent, as well as a member. Metro Homes Northwest LLC is registered at the same address as Affordable New Homes LLC.

When it was active, Palazzo Vintage Homes LLC listed Heidi Root as a member.

The demolition delay period on the house at SE 16th and Clatsop expires on December 12, 2014.
