Located at 1205 SE Morrison St., the building was constructed in 1957. It has most recently been home to the Morrison Street Bar & Grill.

No recent sales of the property have been recorded. The property owner is listed as Spada Properties Inc., registered to Teresa and Ernest Spada of Portland.

On Feb. 1 the city received an application to demolish the 60-year-old building and its attached wooden deck. The applicant was listed as Tom Byrne of Scott Edwards Architecture LLP, while the contractor was listed as iBuildPdx Company LLC. The permit was issued the same day, as it is a commercial structure and not subject to any demolition delay provisions.

Redevelopment plans were first submitted to the city in 2015, when an early assistance application described a proposal for a four-story apartment building. Notices went out last summer of the proposal to build a four-story, 39-unit apartment complex with 15 ground-level parking spaces.

This property is three blocks south of another planned demolition of an apartment building on Southeast Stark Street.
