Demolition Permits Under Review Received November 10 – November 16

Along with publishing weekly lists of issued demolition permits, the Portland Chronicle will publish demolition permit intakes which are still under review. These are generally fewer in number than issued permits, in part due to the lack of demolition delay for commercial properties or residential properties which will see the construction of a new single family home in place of the demolished building.

This has led to many instances of same-day demolition permit intake and issuance. Still, listing permits under review will provide valuable information, as the goal behind the delay ordinance is a period of time with which to produce alternative plans for the property.
