Checking In: 1906 Duplex Demolished for $7.8 Million Complex

A duplex located at 1206 SE Ankeny St., constructed in 1906, sold for $595,000 in 2015 and was slated for demolition that fall. The building received a demolition permit the same day an application was submitted. It was demolished in January 2016.

After it was demolished, the 110-year-old duplex was replaced by a 27-unit apartment complex, which now stands on the site.

With the new development, the property, which previously sold for $595,000 in 2015, sold for $7.8 million in 2017. The multifamily complex is currently owned by “Mapleton Waterloo LLC,” registered at an address in Beverly Hills, Calif.
